When California banned the 50 Caliber rifle, Ronnie Barrett of Barrett Firearms quit selling his rifles to Law Enforcement agencies in California and quit servicing those he had already sold. If other manufacturers had this courage, it would send a strong message to those trying to infringe on our 2nd Amendment right.

Mr. Barrett recently sent a letter to the Chef of Police for the City of Honolulu, Hawaii. Chief Correa has been actively seeking the banning of the 50 Caliber in Hawaii.

Here is an excerpt and you can go here to read the entire letter. It is worth your time..

The act of a governmental entity banning commercial sales of legal firearms, such as my .50 caliber rifle, not only violates the basic principles of the United States Constitution, but also puts national security at risk by ending the delicate balance between the government and the private sector

Mr. Barrett makes an excellent point when he says that has the government seeks to ban more firearms they put our national security risk at stake. Because unless the government wants to get into the firearm manufacturing business, then they are dependent on commercial companies to provide them with the firearms and ammunition they need to defend our nation. But these commercial companies can not survive by just selling to the government, they need the commercial sales that the government is seeking to eliminate.

i like one of the solutions ive heard before....

make the govt comply with the laws they make.

when the fbi and atf have to try to find fa m-16's, and pay 15,000 each for them when thay can find one, i think we'll start to see some changes.
