Here is some of the email I got from the Brady Campaign regarding the Supreme Court decision. (Yes, I get emails from the Brady Campaign. You have to keep an eye on the opposition).

Just hours ago, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its ruling on the most significant Second Amendment case in our country's history, District of Columbia v. Heller.

I want you to know that we have hit the ground running. Our fight to enact and defend strong gun laws to save lives will be undiminished.

The Heller decision will no doubt embolden ideological extremists to file new legal attacks on existing gun laws. But with the help of the Brady Center’s legal team, those attacks can, and must, be successfully resisted in the interest of public safety.



I must be one of those "ideological extremists" they are talking about.

This is a big win but we can't stop fighting because I know the other side isn't going to stop.

its a vrey touchy time for gun rights right now, even with this "victory"

teh momentum we now have can be a great ally, but, should we lose in november, and a new justice should need to be appointed, anything that gets started now, by the time all the appeals come through to get to the scotus, who knows what we will be up against.

Yep. But I have noticed that this case has had a positive affect on Mcain dissers. They seem to be coming around to the idea that if Obama is elected he may be appointing 3 justices in his first (and only) term. They now understand what is at stake and are willing to hold their nose and pull the lever for McCain.

We all must pray that Obama isn't going to be pres. he has plans that will change our great country in ways we have not seen and I truly believe this. I haven't had nightmares in years until the thought of this man becoming our next president. I really don't think we should allow it to happen I hope it doesn't but as the phrase goes From my cold dead hands I stand by this and swear it on my own soul I will never give up my guns and will fight anyone that tries to take them so bring it on. Extreme darn straight Our country would have a King running it from Europe if we hadn't taken up arms in our great past this is America This is why we are here we all have the Right to bare arms. and we must exercise this to show them we can and will stand up for our rights. Or we can just stop being a democracy and let them all run it and take what's ours. Sorry this crap gets me going . ideological extremists %*&^ right!
