just noticed the "karma" thing. i come and lurk to see whats going on but usualy dont sign in, maybe thats why i didnt see it sooner.

anyhow,not to knock the site, but, i think its a bad idea.

ive seen other sites with similar things, where someone voices their opinion, and then someone dosent agree with them and gives them a negative, then the flame wars REALLY start. this is an abuse of this system, as far as im concerned, but i have seen it happen.

This is one way to maybe handle it. If they want to submit a negative then it has to be approved with good reason thru a mod. or admin. that way maybe flame wars won't start that way people won't build negative reps. just because one doesn't like there lifestyle in guns ETC.ETC.ETC. I like the rating on other sites ,but for diff. reasons like buyers and sellers ratings then you can see that people are happy with what guy sold or bought whatever. This alone tells of the character of a person you deal with. This is my 2 cents that may only be worth 1 cent but there it is. I agree with deth on this, unless there can be a way to monitor or set negatives to having to be approved first shoot I'll earn bad Karma because I always forget to spellcheck and I use bad grammer.

We've heard and we've listened and I turned off the Karma. Truthfully, I never understood what it was for but it didn't seem like a big issue so I left it out there. But, if people have concerns, we will turn it off.

It's probable a good idea to turn it off. I do like the rating idea for buyers and sellers to use.
