About three months and three days ago I had Tim put me on the waiting list over at POF for one of these.





POF 16" gas piston upper.

To say I am chomping at the bit is an understatement . I have a mint pre ban Bushmaster lower sitting in my safe just waiting to be complete again. I gave a lot of thought to getting a whole new weapon system, but my choices are very limited and expensive because of where I live. So I bit the bullet and sold two of my prized AR's to fund this POF upper. The way I look at it I will have the ultimate set up so making that sacrifice isn't so bad considering the size, quality and reliability of the upgrade. I hear POF test fired these uppers over 40K rounds without any malfunctions. I just can't wait to shoot a few hundred rounds through it and then compair the cleaning experience to a standard direct gas impregnated system.

Other upgrades I'll need to make will be a set of lo profile flip up iron sights and an EOTECH. Can any one out there help me get a good deal on them... Wink Wink

I have a buddy that has a LWRC piston rifle and it is sweet. I think you'll love it. It keeps going and going like an ak. The best thing of all is all your ar stuff like mags and such can be used with this new setup. give us pics and range report after you get her to the range.

You can bet on it. According to the POF web sight the wait is 4 months, so based on that I should have it in around 27 days . Tim thinks it will be a bit longer... I hope not. One of the main reasons I invested in this upper was because I do have so much "AR gear" it just didn't make sense to start over with a whole new weapon platform. I know when I finally do get it it will have been worth the wait.
