Very interesting article in AH today.....covering a back door approach to gun control...AMMO. I've sorta wondered for a couple of years about the banning/tagging/restricting of this. With out it, a gun is just a piece of steel! We might want to be concerned on this!

I wouldn't put anything past them. Have you ever wondered why a case of ammo has tripled in price over the last few years? If they cant ban it they might put such a huge tax on it no one would be able to afford it. One word, stockpile.

they just tried to sneak a motion through osha a while back that would have made having over 1k of primers in one spot an offense, along with MANY other ridiculous restrictions.

any one else remember that?

JMO....it's gonna be a lot easier to slip ammo restrictions and taxes through than gun bans......all this simple 2d amendment support is a shill to mask the backdoor approach! This ammo stuff goes back to the LBJ days!

No I don't remember, so what are you saying having over 5k rounds might be a problem?

I remember the OSHA deal, fortunately, it didn't fly. I just think we should be as diligent on ammo as we have been on guns!

I'm going to have to research this again to see if I can find it but If I'm mistaken please let me know the facts.
I thought I had read somewhere on the net could be false, but It stated that in Ohio you must have some type of license to legally have more than 25 weapons in your home and this is what killed me when I read this it said and no more than 1000rounds of ammo total within the same home. I don't know if this is fact. I just never disclose any info locally on my ammo stockpile. anyone else have info on this fact of fiction?

iirc, if passed, it would have required you to have a permit for it (simmilar to trying to obtain dynamite) and be locked in a fire proof safe with no flammable materials or populated areas for a 100 yd radius around it, or some kind of dumb **** like that.

luckily, as stated, it was shot down.
