Yea I'm a Vet let em try to take mine. What do they not get about "Shall not be infringed". I have a close friend that is a former Navy Seal, the department of public safety in my beloved state of Massachusetts called him up because I had given him by means of a legal transfer a weapon that they decided they did not want him to have. They told him that they were going to come by and confiscate it. His response was, "sure you can have it barrel and bullets first". He never heard from them again. LOL!

Actually we can thank Sen. Burr for introducing a clarification to this act. His language curtails the circumstances where Big Brother can take weapons from veterans. I was afraid every vet who had ever gone to mental health at the VA was gonna be raided when I first read the original act. Last I checked his bill was still in committee. Please write the Senator from Hawaii and get him to move the bill along. Then we just have to get past Sen. Reid (a Chuck Schumer clone). It's a reasonable bill in that it concentrates on vets who due to TBI, etc. cannot manage their own affairs (have a guardian for their compensation), or have been involuntarily committed to a psych ward. I worked for the VA for 3 years, and have seen cases such as this, I wouldn't want them armed either, at least until they are properly medicated and certified compliant with treatment. But good luck finding a doc to certify that.
