My dad had heart troubles too, so I can sympathize with you there. It's not easy sometimes, especially when dad wants to keep doing the things he used to do even though he shouldn't. Sounds like you are smart with the survelence system. Have you ever considered one of those necklace/pendant things that send an alert message if you press the button? My mom had one of those after she slipped and broke her knee. It worked great.
On the gun front, I'm really impressed with your metal work. I wish I had that equipment and skill. Shoot...I'd be making new M-1 rifle parts all day long! You should really think about going "pro", even if it's only part time. You could control the amount of business you do, and there are good tax benefits from running it out of your home. Just my $0.02 there.
Nice effort for sure. I always enjoy seeing first-quality work.
Thanks for the kind words. Dad is a little honrey(sp?) about his mortality. (Afterall he did run the Huston marathon at 55) This was a project that my mother had asked about and dad just kind of endured it. I doubt I could get him to keep a medic alert device, although it's a great idea. He already has an implanted difibulator but his stamina is the prblem. After this last episode however, he has finally begune to start a daily walk program. He should have some good acive years left as long as he does as the doctor tells him. He is just so **** stubborn sometimes.
On the topic of the pistol: I have been able to do a couple of days work out in the shop and should have something ready to post come Monday. Should have lots of pics and some short vids, provided it all came out good.
