If you could just have one gun what would it be?

I think mine might have to be a Colt Python. I don't own one currently but I just think they are the most fantastic handgun I've ever seen.

How about everyone else?

That's easy. S&W Model 41. However, I did shoot the Winchester M9422 XTR I've had since I was 13 in my NRA instructor class this weekend and it felt like putting on a comfortable pair of shoes. After 25 years, the gun has had well over 10,000 rounds through it and everyone thought it was brand new. They don't make them like that anymore. Tough call.

a Ruger 10/22? Can we see a picture of her? The only thing more fun than suping up an AR15 is building nice 10/22's.

For a handgun, I'll take a S&W .357 686 Combat Magnum (2.5 inch barrel). Used to have one, still have my speedloaders...

For a rifle, I'm leaning toward the Alexander Arms 6.5 Grendel. Besides being on TV, I've talked with some old buddies who are currently deployed in spec ops using it, and they love it. Or maybe the .50 Beowulf....., nah Grendel works, 16" barrel.

Yeah! I agree - it's hard to choose between the "kids" - so to speak. But I have my one and only for the time being. I've had quite a few over the years but my Sig P220 2-tone is just such a sweetheart. Accurate, perfect heft, and it really gets everyone's attention when it comes into view - and isn't that part of the reason we all have "something"? And yeah, I can still sort of hide the S&W Model 36. The Sig? I WANT you to know I have it (glote, glote)

I Think I would like to say that as for handguns. I would prefer my NG 386 S&W and rifle would be a good old ak.

I forget I have it on. Good leather and good gun can cause you to actaully carry comfortably at all times. I think the onle thing I haven't found is a way to carry the speedloaders so that they don't cause a bulge at my waste I may just carry strippers to hold the rounds on my belt slower reload but not a dead giveaway that I carry.

you just gave me a great idea, but it has nothing to do with this post, so i wont mention it!!

anyway.... i dont use leather anymore since i tried the paddle.

i always prefered leather and HATED the kydex holsters, but once i tried one, it wasnt as horrible to use as i had though, but then the big realization......

the paddle allows me to take it on and off QUICKLY, without undoing my belt. great for me since i may have to squeeze in somewhere, or crawl under something, that was always a pita with the belt holster.

if i didnt have to do such things regularly, id much rather a nice leather like that, though.
