I just read this story about Hobbton High School in Newton Grove, NC where they banned students from displaying the American flag.

The new rule stems from a controversy over students wearing shirts bearing flags of other countries.

The superintendent of schools in Sampson County calls the situation unfortunate, but says educators didn’t want to be forced to pick and choose which flags should be permissible.


They didn't want to "pick and choose?"

This definitely is a Bill O'Reily most ridiculous item of the day.

i thought that our forefathers had already done all the "picking and choosing" already????

I think that this is sick the country that makes all things good,(or at least trys to) helps out almost every 3rd world country out there. yet we can't have our flag in even one school this is insane. I think that people that cause these problems need to remember that this country is what makes most of the world go round except maybe north Korea. So do they even pledge the alegence to the flag or is that against others that aren't americans, I think we need to start deporting some of these people. Then they will wish they would have respected this country and it's likeness in the flag and traditions of this great country!!!
