Hey shooters,
I admit I've been bad about getting stuff up on the forum. No excuses! Just chalk it up to sheer laziness.

So to make up for it, here are some photos of the K-31 project that I did for a friend recently. This one I did as a favor because my friend went through a bad divorce recently, and this is his only gun. He's a good pal and deserves something fun in his life. Fortuately things are looking up for him. He got this rifle for $90 from AIM surplus. A nice Swiss K-31 with a mint bore and walnut stock. The metal had quite a worn bit of finish on it though. I couldn't resist polishing it a bit (by hand of course...NO buffer wheels here!) The stock refinished nicely, but still has that "well-cared-for-antique" look about it. While I don't intend to make a living refurbishing K-31's, I have to say this was a fun project.

As an aside, the K-31's are mechanical masterpieces, and have one of the best as-issued triggers I've ever seen. A little light polishing, and I had this one down to 4.5 lbs. They're beautiful rifles. Grab one before the surplus dries up!
